Can laws stop atrocities against women?

“A successful woman is one who can build a firm foundation with the bricks which others have thrown at her”
Let us first allude towards the bricks the society has thrown. In India, there are about 909713 cases reported for cruelty by husbands and other relatives, about 4705596 cases of molestation, about 315074 cases of kidnapping and abduction , about 243051 rape cases and 80833 dowry deaths every 10 years. Again there are still millions of atrocities which are still left unreported in the police stations.
Now let us talk about the laws which are formulated and implemented in favour of women.
Citing a few:-
1]The child marriage restraint act of 1929 :-which restraints and prohibits a girl who is not 18 to get married. the girls class have confronted with this crime on a large scale and for sure the law has proved itself by eradicating child marriage.
2]Eve teasing:-the section 294 and 509 of IPC prohibits any individual to pass any kind of offensive  comments.
But the ground report reveals that there are about 5000 cases, reported every year.
3]HINDU SUCCESSION ACT of 1965 :-this law ensures that the property of the parents is to be transfered to the heir regardless of gender. But what actually happens is the son is rendered as the ultimate “rehnuma”.
4]DOWRY PROHIBITION ACT OF 1961:-prohibits the groom from  demanding dowry but in reality,
The data reveals that there are about 5000 dowry deaths every 4 year. This proves that the law was just a fudge.
5]DOMESTIC VOILENCE ACT :-UNDER THE SECTION OF 498A of  the IPC is meant to protect the women class from domestic violence but there are about 909713 cases reported this decade.
The questions arises whether these laws are formulated to eradicate the crime or to support the crimes?
Because the data reveals a different story.

                                           WHAT CAN BE DONE??

Formulating stringent laws, punishing a few culprit, raising candle marches,  protests, jams ,showing outrage. will not work . the need of the hour is to alter, change the mentality of the people. The mentality the people possess is the root cause for the crimes committed against women.
The crimes have reached a culmination point. So as to mitigate the pain of women we the people have to endeavour.
The first thing that i would suggest those  girls is to consolidate and be vindictive. Again self defence and knowledge of martial arts is of immense importance and is the need of the hour.
The perpetual tradition of not raising your voices against crimes should be dropped. Carry out a crusade against these crimes and your intensions should be inferred from actions.
The government of India must endeavour to alleviate the crime rate. Instead of lavishly expending the money on useless things, the government should carry out campaigns to improve and alter the mentality of the people. Again the government should formulate stringent laws with that a faster judging panel for faster hearing ensuing faster results. Also the martial arts classes should be made compulsory in schools.
If these  steps are followed and implemented we will soon have a nation which
empowers women to empower next generation
empowers women to educate next generation
empowers women to bring development
empowers women to bring revolution.
